Repair your wood bracelet using the Kintsugi technique we developed specifically for wood engagement and wood wedding rings. The repair is not hidden it will be visible in order to show the joined pieces. At the repair points, we will use gold added to our adhesive to mend your wood bracelet. We understand this may not be for everyone but it aligns with us.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending an object, primarily a vessel made of pottery with gold. It is about honoring the object and understanding that it is only by picking up the pieces that we can put things, our lives, our selves back together — using the art of kintsugi as a framework that allows my work to heal and mend a wood wedding ring.
"Over the years, many customers, friends, passers-by almost anyone who would care to listen, would hear me say our wooden rings did not point to the future or the past. They led to the present moment where we live, love, and feel in the present moment. And that is what I always believed my work represented and represents to this day. Unlike traditional jewelry, which holds the promise of forever and history over time, my work points to the present moment a fragile moment that is fleeting but sweet when honored. It is in this moment we exist we are not promised and others. We must care for each other. I believe that is where our true beauty lies." - gustav reyes
